Sounds like you either have a corrupt download or you installed it wrong. If you are sure that you installed it correctly, then try re-downloading it and re-installing it. You might have gotten some bad files in your download.

You should have these 11 files in your OJ folder...

actors.static
ed_m01.tga
ed_m02.tga
labels.txt
load.ini
map_c.tga
map_c.tga_table
map_F.tga
map_h.tga
map_t.tga
texts.txt

Hi Slikk!
Thks for your mod, really really nice indeed!
I run 1946 UP 2.01 so except OJ Japan which I found thanks to you, I had all the required maps and yesterday (first time I tried this specifical map)  I experienced an issue: when selecting in FMB the Burma lower map I get a java error and a CTD.
Takin' away this single map from the MODS/mapmods I can ply it again but the default one of course....
Help really welcome!
Best regards,
Gianluca.

I have problems loading a few of the bigger maps in the FMB as well. To get around this, you can try using some of the .exe's that come with UP. The 384MB, 256MB, and the 128MB.exe's all work for me. The strange thing is that once I am all finished making the mission I no longer need the .exe's to run the mission. It's just in the FMB that the problem occurs. So give the .exe's a try, that might fix your problem. Good luck.

hi Slikk; the problem is (shift + tab to give evidence) a tga lacking or maybe more than one.
First try I got a message reading: can't open/find BurmaLower/Spain_1024_Ind_Green_17.tga so I modify the string in Slikk_UMM/Spain.......
the next time I got then a different message reading: can't open/find BurmaLower/Spain_Tex_512_43_Green.tga so I modify it also in Slikk_UMM/Spain....
Until I arrived to "BurmaLower/Spain_Chaco_Green_05_Red.tga" Looked in your textures and in the whole 1946 folder and I was not able to find this one even though I do have Agracieres Chaco textures in my install.....
Definitely I am missing something!

I think I know what your problem is. I think you are missing some files from the latest version of the burmaLower map. You need to install this...

https://www.mediafire.com/file/lmnyunmntnn/BurmaLowerV2.1.zip

After you install this, reinstall the Unified Map Mod and you should be ok.

Hi Slikk! Here I am again, this time with the B29Alley map...
When trying to load it in FMB I get a memory error (instructions given to
XXXXXX couldn' be addressed to XXXXXX, maemory can't be read....) and the game ctd to desktop after clicking the ok option. In this case, you know for sure, you have only this option!
Anyway, with MODS disbled the "old" (I run UP 2.01) map loads
fine without problems.
I wonder what it could be, such a memory error with maps I never faced before....
Thks for helping!
Gianluca

Found another one: Burma Lower now gives me a memory error sure due to a mod installed but I'd like to know if something similar is already happened!

it seems that responsible of this could be the MissionComboPro mod....
I hva to investigate better but quite sure even though I can't figure why!

Update

[Net8islands] Pacific Islands Repaint for the Unified Map Mod

In order for this to work you will have to have the Unified Map Mod installed. Once you have the Unified Map Mod installed just drop this into...

\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Mods\MapMods\Maps

and you’re good to go.

Enjoy!
