guys, this thingie works in DBW 1.71, at least if you use TFM or the new TFM!
and why is it soo difficult to delete some classfiles on your own????
if you cannot do basic file handling then maybe modding might not be a good idea for you....

yeah CM you are right :)
but honestly, if someone is not even able to delete some files as per clearly written instructions, then modding might not be the best idea at all :)

back to the topic, the landing gear damage mod works on my DBW/newTFM install and as of yet, I have not come across any major problems with it;
this does not actually mean though that there are not some issues remaining....

I noticed in-game 4.12 + Modact 5 that during certain cases, the landing gear does fall down.  I don't know if that's a manual gear drop or hydraulics failure, because it doesn't happen often.  Would this mod work with 4.12?

Hi Folks,

I read the entire post here and from what I can tell there appears to the possibility of having this mod work in DBW 1.71 if I delete the classfiles in post 1 or use the DBW clean install.

Can someone re post the list of he classfiles that need to be deleted ?? The picture or list appears to have been deleted.

I installed this some time ago in my 4.08 version, but found that some planes (e.g., the C-47), when placed on the ground as a 'static', had their wheels up. Needless to say, this looks odd. ;) And so I had to disable this excellent mod, so sadly.

... well, you don't have to disable the whole mod, just because of an issue with the C47 ... ;)

You can as well only disable the C47 folder included in the mod (by putting a minus sign in front of it), and thus keep the benefit ot the rest of the mod ...  :P

This issue sometimes still happens to me when, for ex, I have just flown a mission in which, say, P51Bs were hit in their carriage, then they will strangely have no carriage or half retracted carriage, in the next mission upon spawning, whether prior to take off or as static planes, as if the game "remembered" their previous mission and condition ...  o_O

The only cure I found was to exit the mission and game, and launch the game and mission again ...  ;)

... so may be you don't have to disable any folder after all, and next time this happens to you, whether it be with the C47 or any other AC, just try exiting the mission and game and relaunching both ...  :)
