I recommend a low approach at about 500-800 meters after dropping the airspeed to the low 200s. Extend the undercarriage before banking into final approach, drop the flaps into "take-off" position, lowering them into full "landing" position at the thresh-hold of the carrier. The key element is keeping the nose up with the elevator trim all while keeping the kite aloft with 30-40% throttle, although 25-35% is more preferable. As soon as the nose clears the deck cut the throttle, at this time the elevator trim should be set at maximum tail-heavy. Once you cut the power, pull back on the control column gently yet firmly to perch her. At this point the stick would be dug into or close to the belly, and should be kept there until the kite has come to a complete stop. After that, the only thing left to do is set the chocks.
Remember, low and slow, keep that carrier deck right above the horizon. Oh yeah, don't forget that tail-hook. That's kind of important.
-Hope that helps.
