Adding labels to your map in the FMB (so inserting it like any other object) will generate the texts.txt, which will eventually look something like this:
---------------------------
191301 237894 7 1 0 14 Schiphol airport
184411 278620 7 1 0 14 Bergen AB
193398 310794 7 1 0 14 De Kooy AB
112238 315289 7 1 1 4 North Sea
---------------------------
[so.. coordinates, font, font size, font color and the name of the label]

Hope this helps,
Michel

Simply use your graphic editor, e.g. GIMP, and write the text in the desired position directly to your ed_m0X.tga. It is unnecessary to give any coordinates then, they will be produced automatically in texts.txt file.

Does that mean to make the text in vector format? If you turn it into a raster it will otherwise simply become part of the pixel makeup of the ed_maps and won't remain the same size when you zoom in and out of the FMB map ...

Just another way:
Go to your MapBuilder/File/Load Map/View/Object/Text/Ctrl left mouse button: yellow point appears where the text will be placed as object /Text/write your text.
I hope it is understandable. Both ways work, each in other circumstances.

Can someone explain better this: 191301 237894 7 1 0 14 Schiphol airport

191301 237894 - coordinates of the script
7 - font ?
1 - font ?
0 - font ?
14 - font ?
Schiphol airport - text

Thanks in advance for your reply!

191301 237894 - coordinates in the map
7 -  font type (small, medium, large)
1 -  side  (1= red base 2=blue base, etc)
0 -  this one I am not sure of..
14 - font color
