Have a look at this for weathering ideas: http://falkeeins.blogspot.com/2010/07/heinkel-he-45-condor-legion-colour.html

Very, very nice!

But aren't the panel lines a bit exaggerated? And as Metatron hinted: they need a bit weathering!

You need to look further down in the aviaskins link, I think that is just the initial panel work.

I have noticed that for both He-45 and He-51 there is no entry for the weapons_ru.property file
Both plane_ru.property and weapons_ru.property file entries are optional for every plane.
Both files do provide the corresponding "translations" to the acronyms used for plane and ordnance option names inside the plane's classfile.
Without regarding entries in the "*.properties" files the original acronyms from the classfile are used, which sometimes isn't that handy since they cannot contain specific characters, e.g. spaces, and are somewhat limited in their length.

Best regards - Mike

The UW map can be downloaded here:
https://www.mediafire.com/?pcbczkz5p663qge

but check with the default skin that came with the mod in order to find the emplacement of some small details I added later, such as the propellor cone.

About weathering, the color pics on the link are taken from a propaganda movie reel called "defensors of the faith" and it is on Youtube - the original colors are much better than on the captured images. In any case, the structures are quite enhanced under the fabric of the fuselage and wings.

Good luck!

The Rushey Platt test pilot has test piloted this aeroplane. He tells me it's very trim sensitive and aerodynamically fragile. Real stick and rudder stuff, and in many ways, more of a challenge that many aircraft he's become used to. I don't think he liked it all that much, though I have tio say, I found it difficult to shoot down. What an interesting addition to the ranks of types in the Rushey Platt air force. Well done modders concerned.

Well, as I said, this plane is in direct continuation of late WW1 German assault biplane - something totally different from "modern" WWII planes. Between 1933 and 1941 the world entered in a new technological era, severing one after the other all links with the so called "modern times" era of the beginning of the XXth century.

Definitely reminds me of the Hannover CL IV without the dual elevators.

However I am concerned by its ability to reach near 200 mph in level fly, that seems awful fast for a Biplane ground attack plane.

I snapped the upper left wing off in just a gentle dive toward ground targets.
