What a grooooovy looking aircraft! 8)
Kind of makes one wonder what it would be like if SAS-1946 would be designing aircraft for the
Allied forces or those "bad evil guys" back in the days of World War II. LOL
Complete madness, I tell you!!
Congratulations Sani and also all those involved in this cool "What-if" project. It´s a fine looking plane.
I have been taking it for a ride (Flies great!) and splashing some paint on it for some future skins...

It's messed up that you are making all these fictional planes, but I'm sold nevertheless!  ;)

I don't see much wrong with doing the occasional one, considering the amount of other stuff that gets done. Why shouldn't the modders use their imagination once in a while? I'm sold too, especially after all the discussion that went into it.

I think the biggest problem in the 'what if' scenario might have been Hermann Göring. I can see him point-blank refusing to let the Kriegsmarine have BMW engines, and a stand-up row ensuing. ::)

Really nice plane, really enjoying flying this beauty. And i also noticed it can hold his own against those pesky Sea Hurricanes in a dogfight...

P.S.: Only complain by my part is; it's too easy to shot it down... SHIP ack-ack shoot me down in 6 out of 10 torpedo run attempts... against 3 out of 10 in the B5N2... Is there a way to increase it's survivability rate by adding a bit more armour? Wings can be ripped og quite easily by 20mm flak...

It's a leftover sideffect of the original arado...we could say that gears fall of if wing is damaged? ;)

Well,it's in weight class of a Fw190 with the same engine...only thing keeping it from reaching similar speeds is drag.

P.S.: Only complain by my part is; it's too easy to shot it down... SHIP ack-ack shoot me down in 6 out of 10 torpedo run attempts... against 3 out of 10 in the B5N2... Only pilot and engine armor are increased...rest is left alone as in the original arado...ships AA is set to veteran by default...did you try with average setting?

Yes but that is a completely obsolete design... would have needed immediate replacement. Arado 196T is a more reasonable design for a carrier fleet taken seriously (this "seriousness" is part of the "what-if" scenario).

Sani@: excellent, mate!  :) The baby finally came out...

*cough* Like the Fairey Swordfish?
Not to mention the Fairey Albacore (entering service 1940, leaving combat duty 1945)

A Carrier fleet with one carrier? I'm just saying that the Fi-167 rules! ;)

Totally agree  ;)

I must say that this version of the Arado,  does not convince me, especially the wing, when compared with B5N, a plane with a fuselage relatively similar , but with a much greater wing span.

This is not a criticism, at all, and deeply appreciate the work of the creators of this mod, but I think the concept of "what if" has been taken to the limit of what is credible, with this plane.

This is only my humble opinion, and I hope not to bother anyone  :)

Actually, i tried it in the QMB crimea map, against the russian ship sailing near the coast along with 2 small boats.

Actually,B5N has only 1m larger wingspan than Arado ;)...
