U have to try UP2.01, its very versatile and modding of it is much simplier than mod the Stock game.

Same is it for that, that many mods which are discontinued as standalone mods but they are in UP2.01 and continue ONLY in it.

So u will need only additive things to put in MODS folder or fixes of some bugs in UP.

But in UP most of bugs are solved in very short times.
so u put into MODS folder only the things you like or want to try/have, and which ARENT in UP for some reason.

It means mods that are actually too buggy/in development, same as for mods which are not-totally done (not WIP, betas or such) but working versio9ns with some mistakes, or which are making some incompatibilities with mods contained in UP

cheers,
vK

I've been fiddling around with the Ar-196-A3 Template (by Hynkle AFIAK?) to makes some more realistic carrier based wing lines/structure repesenting U/C and Wing Folding elements, and have noticed apart from the frankenplane engine-fuz skinning problems, that the wing fold axis is located within the wing, so the wing skins would crush each other.

I am not meaing to be critisising, just wondering if a future version might have the wing fold located closer to the upper wing skin, horizontal axis angle elvated 3-5 degrees; roughly inline with angle of middle wing upper skin polygon (not the leading or trailing edges angles) to appear more lifelike.
This is only meant as a suggestion, if it might be futurely possible at all. Please fellow SAS'ers don't pester for this, as I don't wish to create a stink & kick up a hornets nest, for a what-if that was created 'outside' ICMaddox by fellow community members.

Love the plane & loadouts; although a MG81Z would be welcome on the pintle mount  ::)

dont know...

Before the Focke Wulf became operational with underwing rockets, i think they were tried on the new attack plane at Wesermünde.
4 under each wing. The goal was to increase  firepower against the light coastal fortifications. The arado can strafe quite nicely, but if it can launch Rockets at the same pass, even better.

And the Assault on the Azores islands in late 1943 necessitated the adaptation of the Fragmentation Bombs of all kinds against Portuguese troops, wich was tested on a T1 Testbed, the one with the Dual defensive guns.

 ;) :)

Didn't they actually have a PLANNED torpedo bomber for the graf zeppelin? The Fi 167?

Yes but that is a completely obsolete design... would have needed immediate replacement. Arado 196T is a more reasonable design for a carrier fleet taken seriously (this "seriousness" is part of the "what-if" scenario).

Sani@: excellent, mate!  :) The baby finally came out...

Not to start anything, but wasn't teh Swordfish also obselete as well?

Nice aircraft nonetheless guys, look forward to giving it a whirl real soon, again...stupid puter.

Now that some discussion has suggested there is a plane-slot number limit beyond which game performance in general drops, I would rather add the MG81Z as a loadout option for gunner (if that is possible) instead of doing an extra "T1" slot (at least if that is the only change).

For the folding wings "crushing" into each other, that can eventually be improved... but right now I doubt very much anyone has any free time to spare, so you'll have to be a bit patient.
I await the year 2025 when its done as a developed replacment to the type T0, if before then, then bonus!

I was mearly suggesting 'what if, might it ever be possible's, not requesting/pestering for an A/C as some of the Heinkel & Foicke-Wulf 'Biplane Nuts' (no offence to them) have done. Any suggestions carried out before the Metalocalyspe are very much apprieciated, otherwise they are you just suggestions.
