Benno,

I think there might be some confusion over how to place the files themselves for the Khalkin-Gol objects. I had to redo the directory structure as it comes in the download. The instructions given in the download are correct, but there is a simpler way of installing the actual files.

What I've done here is include a link to a correctly ordered structure of the Khalkin-Gol objects. First you should either remove or deactivate the directories conatining the Khalkin-Gol objects that you yourself placed in MODS.

Then you should unzip the downloaded file, and then place the 2 directories 'Tree' and 'Mongolya' directly into your MODS directory. That way, the files will be at the correct depth for the objects to work correctly in both Khalkin-Gol and Madrid maps ...

Keep your entries in the static.ini as they are. You probably did them correctly.

Here is the link:

Hope this works for you. Let me know if this works or not.

Benno,
Please check all your  static

Perhaps you had incorrectly installed these lines:
And now comes duplication errors in your static.
you should be only one - the correct option
Check the accuracy of the spelling of each letter in this piece of text:

[buildings.House$]SEchurch10]
Title           SEchurch10
MeshLive        3do/Buildings/SouthernEurope/SEchurch10/live.sim
MeshDead        3do/Buildings/SouthernEurope/SEchurch10/dead.sim
AlignToLand     0
Body            RockMiddle
Panzer          0.2

This does not depend on the texture of the earth. Most importantly, correctly and precisely these lines

Great map!  Textures mix really well and fit the terrain nicely.  Excellent rivers - I wish I could do as well at making rivers!
Airfield textures are simply amazing.  Great use of buildings objects and new objects made just for this map.
I like how the opposing airfield's takeoff/landing points are all the same direction - very clever.

I wish I knew more about the conflict so I guess I'll have to do some reading.
Are there any missions or campaigns already made for this map?

As far as I know there are none yet, but here's hoping that some will come along  :) :)

I made a request for a set of QMB missions for this ma,p and am sure some progress is being made

It seems that the greatest leap recently in IL-2 is all the amazing new map! unfortunately missions/campaigns seem to be a bit slower than the abundance of quality maps available  ;)

After an exhaustive search i found 3 missions for this map made by Mixx on the Aviaskins site  :D

with some translator fumbling i managed to break the language barrier, download them and finally fly this map!

What a treat!!! a truly beautiful map on so many levels, vast open spaces have simply never looked this good!! Amazing use of wonderfull new objects

Thank you Mixx for a STUNNING map!

Perhaps you would be so kind as to make those missions available for people with no FMB skills   ;)

Cheers Dakpilot

To Czech Texan
I apologize for being late
It was a really interesting topic - the air war over the river Khalkhin Gol.
Moreover the two sides gave a completely opposite data on downed aircraft.
In the Soviet literature, was the figure of 600 Japanese planes were shot down. This is not true. But the Japanese have all the fantastic sum of over a thousand destroyed by Russian aircraft! It is also too much fiction! ;D

In reality, the Russian losses amounted to 249 aircraft
Japanese losses amounted to-382 aircraft.

I have long studied this issue and found the most accurate source.
In this book are the most accurate historical data about the air battles.
Khalkhin-Gol: The War in the Air (Kondratev. V):

http://www.onairpower.org/docs/Image:Khalkhingol_war_air_book.jpg

For convenience, I found it and turned it into on-line:

http://translate.google.com.ua/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.e-reading.org.ua%2Fbookreader.php%2F95595%2FKondrat%27ev_-_Halhin-Gol%253A_Voiina_v_vozduhe.html

Unfortunately, this condensed version, and with very poor quality photos.
But only this version may quickly be translated into accessible English.
Well as I found the book only in Russian.

Also a few historical references to events.

To Dakpilot
Regarding missions. I wanted to do a few missions for bombers
on Ki-21 and SB-2, but unfortunately the hands do not reach.
Very little time  :-[.... We try to make a nice little map of the Pacific Ocean for online. Like, how did Avala - Benghalli Islands map
