Spasibo Mixx.  Thank you very much for the links - ochen Horosho!
I looked for that book when you first announced this map.  I thought about getting it but it's expensive and in Russian.
I still think it would be worth getting because there is so little information about the conflict and it would be a rare book to own.
Don't worry about the late reply.  Nyet problem!

I've learned very little already about the conflict from bits in other books.  One of the most helpful sites for me is here:
http://www.armchairgeneral.com/rkkaww2/maps.htm
That site's collection of maps really helps to get an idea of the flow of battle - especially with khalkhin gol.

Do the maps here work with the latest version of Ultrapack?
Ive installed this and the Madrid map correctly ( to the best of my knowledge) but neither will show up on the full mission builder map menu.

Have you added the correct lines to the all.ini file? Even if you end up not installing the map correctly, if you have added lines to the all.ini file, then the maps will show up on the FMB menu ... they won't work, but they will show up.

So I'm thinking that maybe you didn't add the lines to the all.ini file ...

I just found this map (after a long time away from IL-2) and it is absolutely STUNNING. Mixx - wonderful work! It's a masterpiece.  ;D

We have had a large number of really GREAT maps coming this last year, and it fells as if I want to make campaigns for ALL of them!!!

As of now I'm working on a campaign for, among others, Uzins upcoming Poland map. And then we have all of Agraciers exciting new work (btw: thanks for the help in this thread), Czechtexans New Caucasus map, the Cirkus map, El Alamein and Crete, etc etc. Not to mention all gorgeous re-paints!

It has been a WONDERFUL year for modded Il-2! Thanks to the generosity of all involved!

I have already built two campaigns for the Khalkin-Gol / Nomonhan air battles, but I can't see how I can resist this map and build yet one more...  :P

Mixx - I tried some of yours and whitecat's textures on the stock Manchuria map:

I will not release this as I cannot claim credit, but it is maybe an idea for you.

It has been shown many times that a retexturing of many of the old standard maps, can produce stunning results graphics-wise ... good textures can make an old standard map look ever so much better ...

Would be nice if Team Diadolos could improve all the stock maps like that in the future.

to Phil_k:
I really like your idea of  Manchuria map.
Sorry, I do not always have time to respond, you can use these textures.

By the way,  I saw on the Redko maps are also  appropriate textures for Manchuria map.

to Agracier:
You flatter, me  friend.
Here I have dissected until the plane on your Madrid and Djibouti.
