This Distant haze Is visible in all high? because you dont care about the  Altitude if you are going to replace the background !One solution is to create Big Mountains around the cube ,you need the maximum 1000 Meters high to do everything !

This weekend I visited the closest remaining family of Pat in Johannesburg. They were so kind to give me access and permission regarding documentation related to Pat. :)

These include three files with letters, photographs, paper cuttings and all kinds of documentation. :)

I was moved in having personal letters written by Pat to his mom and the death notifications from the Air Ministry in my hands.

 Here some of these documents:

· Pat's medal set at the Jhb war museum.

· Missing notification 1941

· Death notification 1941

 Tinus le Roux  :)

Tinus - thanks very much for sharing, a fascinating and often over looked part of South African history.
Really look forward to finished product, and finding out much more. Enjoyed your previous video "I flew for the Fuhrer" - was amazed at how creative you were in mixing real & gaming elements in a video - a masterpiece.
On a more sober note - shudder to think how many letters just like these were sent out to so many family members, on all sides - during WWII, kind of brings it home when you see the actual letters.  :(
Although on a lighter side, see they got the address wrong on both letters, addressed to "Keetmonshook" in the first & "Keelmanshoop" in the second letter. Guess Keetmanshoop is not an internationally renowned metropolis  ;)

Thanks ggrewe for the complements!  :)

Keetmanshoop is still today a tiny town in the southern part of Namibia. I go there every year to do hunting on a farm close to Keetmanshoop.

The most striking for me was when I read the letters Pat wrote to his mom. When I saw his own handwriting and having the letter in my hand...well that is the closest one can  get to the person himself.  :)

I must say that the Air Ministry's wording on the two letters are very sensitive and comforting towards Pat's poor mother.
