.. Hmm... I swear I thought I fixed this!  ??? Can you open the .msh file "CF_D0" with wordpad
and give me it's contents under [Hooks]? Anyways, I'll re-upload that mesh making sure it has the hooks..  :-\
Btw, do you have tiger 33's sound mod?

These things happen ... no big deal. The tri-motor is one of those planes I never thought anyone would mod into the game. It is just too too good to pass up.

I do not have tiger 33's sound mod. I do have Jiver's Total Sound Mod v1.0.

Anyway, here is the contents you asked for:

I have a question, why does the Trimotor have a machine gun for and is it still in your him file and mesh files?
it's part of the CF_D0 mesh file, and I couldn't get it off..  :-X

Another Q, is the DL in the first post updated to a working AC or do I have to DL the fix?

I tried the fix, replacing the file as instructed, but the same problem keeps occurring ...

Besides the install issues I've read about, the holes in the engines and the fact that the engines needs to be mounted in another way to the wings, I notice a huge gap between the wings and fuselage in your screenshot.
So my question is: Is this plane a WIP or is it the final version?

Crazyflak -

Thanks for the manual instructions. I figured them out (not having any experience with mesh files and all that) and the plane now loads and flies without any problem. Thanks for the fix. It works as you said it would.

Flying around though, I noticed a rather odd thing on the fuselage.

I think the thing to do now is wait for an overhaul of this tri-motor. Something that I eagerly look forward to.

It's just the skin. If you use a default Ju-52 skin on this plane (they work, I tested) you can see that some of them have the profile structure shown (as in the pic). If you use a skin without this, it will not show on the plane.
EDIT: forgot to say, thanks for this mod, I love this plane, and I'd like to see some loadouts,so we can use it as a hack for italian Caproni bombers. ;D

EDIT TWO: as for installation, I didn't have problems from the first time. I'll try to explain: this plane shares the model folder "Ju-52_3mg4e" (originally of the default Ju-52).
The difference is given by the new hier (called "hierTrimotor.him"), so no conflicts with default Ju-52.
As for installing, this mod works AS IT IS (without hier modifications), just check that in your MODS folder you have the Ju-52 cockpits pack (here's the link: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,1522.0.html).

Ah ha ... I suppose using another skin is so obvious that I would never have thought of it on my own ... thanks for the tip. As you can see it looks better with other skins indeed.

There is work needed to be done, but as it stands now it is still a nice addition ... I'm certain the model will be improved on in the future. For instance skins can be chosen in the QMB, but not in the FMB. When I choose to go to a particular aircraft in the flight of Tri-motors, I get the old pull-down menu disappearing act so that the game doesn't respond and you have to shut it down. Some of the early Bf-109b's had the same thing I think ...

I made them a few years back and posted them on M4T ... they are probably still there under the Ju-52.

But to make it easier, here is a download link for the more colorful and odd skins. many are civilian hacks, but if my memory serves me right, the Spanish in Africa skins are for either the Ford Tri-Motor or a similar Fokker tri-motor transport ... in any case, if hacks, the file names give for which aircraft.

They are a bit old but still colorful. And fun to use as civilian interlopers in an air battle. It's a bit of a shame they can't be designated as belonging to neither side in a mission. Unlike some other objects ...
