Hi guys. Does anyone have a pilot`s manual for this beautiful bird? I looked everywhere, couldn`t find one.

Or even just some basic numbers? Assuming near empty (1/4 or less) fuel, what  is the ideal approach speed (full flaps & gear down) to trap on the boat? (Again, assuming the ship has no forward speed). I have (as I'm sure we all have) tried some low speed stall/handling trials but find my minimum is way, way to fast - even with the carrier moving. I'm pulling the wire out as far as the forward lift well.

Angled deck anyone!!!

My guess is it has nothing to do with this plane... but otherwise I don't know.

The RL approach speed for the Panther was around 120ish. They would dump fuel if they returned with more than 50%. However, assuming you are relatively light on fuel, say at or below 50%, you can come aboard quite nicely at 110, or maybe even slightly less. These are knots I am using.

HAs anyone else noticed this bug.

LOD0 shadow

LOD1 shadow

I have checked and the shadow mesh for the nose is there and seems to be correct - so at a loss as to why they do not show

Yes, seen it. My guess is that the LOD0 shadow is too high poly. But i don't remember why i didn't try to change it  ???
Will have a try this evening.

*BUMP*

Updated. Ejection seat direction corrected, cockpit repositioned, LODs/Shadows fixed. Essentially this version is identical to the one in DBW.

Just red a readme file for Histomod 4.6 and found the F9F5 modification. Does it have proper 3D, and if answer is positive, is it possible to combine F9F2 and F9F5 into united pack?

Thank you very much. These little tweaks are the finishing touches we needed.

Nope it doesn't. All it needs is a taller tail and slight fuselage stretch.

Can't make it work.
Every time I try to start the mission I get the following message:

Il2-Sturmovik Forgotten Battles: il2fb.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x5ed0530e" referenced memory at "0x0000051c". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

Windows XP
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 4.10.1m (clean install)

MODS:

- T-33 Shooting Star (Red_Fox90)
- F-84G ThunderJet (Flakiten)
- L-5 Sentinel (Flakiten)
- U-19A (L-5 Sentinel ) Gunboat (SAS~Skipper)
- Some AI planes Cockpits

Everything was working fine with SAS Modact 2.72.

Any suggestions?

I cannot play my game with this aircraft installed. I have:

Modact 3 with SAS buttons 3+
Jet era 1956 installed
I extract, paste to #SAS foler
Add line to air.ini
run game succesfully
try to boot quick mission and fails at 100% "the exception unknon software exception (0xc000005) occured in the application at loaction 0xff11147."

THE GAME WORKS WITH AI CONTROLLING PANTHER BUT NOT ME!

Why does this happen? What have I done wrong?

Cheers guys, keep up the good work! The more jets and awesome aircraft we get for this game the longer it will live :)!

Any help much appreciated.
