I'm in love  :) Thanks for the beautiful plane, I have always wanted a Panther in IL-2!

Take a look if you have it!

Is anyone else able to upload it?

Yeah, that link leads to a closed account.

Yup, thanks. Works now. Good looking too!

But why don't you have to add entries to the plane.properties file too?

(I ask this as a general question)

Chris P.

plane.properties doesn't really do anything to the game except "translate" code into slightly more user friendly text in game.  If you have a look in it, you'll see that the first column is the actual name of the aircraft as far as IL-2 is concerned.  The second column is how it will appear in game (I.E it can have spaces, commas etc.).  With no plane.properties entry, the aircraft will work but the name displayed in the game will be the same as in the air.ini file.

If you want a line to add, it's easy enough to determine what it should be, in this case:

F9F2          F9F2 Panther, 1949

(The first part might be wrong, check what it is in the air.ini to be sure)

Think I have found a couple of problems with the cockpit.

In the flare materials ( ZFlareRed.mat et al ) you have ambient and diffuse at 0 when they should both be 1.

I also think tfShouldSort should be 1

Making those changes gets all the warning lights working in my modtool, so I think it will be required for the game as well.
