I made a small historic offline campaign for this wonderful bird. It's set in the first few months of the Korean Conflict.

Mission4Today Download link

BTW, If you can't land the Panther consistently on a carrier, you may wanna brush-up. Although the first 3 miisions are "Qualification" missions. The first mission is Take Off and Landing Qualification, I would suggest playing that one a few times to get up to speed in the Jet.

Nixer checked and I saw that u used USS "Interpid" as a stand-in for USS "Valley Forge", in this great campaign. But we already have USS Valley Forge here, on SAS. So, could you make another version of this campaign using USS Valley Forge mod (as everyone can replace it in missions, as noone can do it with videos, only you can do it bc only you have original files) and then post in Missions/Campaigns section of this forum?

EDIT: BTW, did you consider making this campaign for CY6's North Korea map as well? It would be lovely, especially if my PC can't handle 3BG KTO (shame). Qualification missions can be made at Kyushu map then.

Glad I posted this here. Was really kinda hoping that the original mod team would update this beautiful bird to the -5 model for late Korean War missions. I would love to do another one later in the Korean Conflict, lots more flak.

More power, more bombs and better low speed handing = more fun.  ;)

Does anyone know if self sealing fuel tanks were modelled on purpose? The jet "seems" to have them, as I think I have incurred every type of damage there is while making this campaign. Quite a resiliant little aircraft, as it should be.

Some great damage example pics can be found here in my Campaign Beta Test thread at SimHQ.

Please realize that it is not the most polished campaign around, after all it's first one I ever did.  ;D

I did TONS of historical research for it, quite a learning experience.

Guys, I've serious troubles trying to take off with a carrier. I can do it, even if it is a little tricky, without any payload, but in the second mission, with the two bombs, I leave the deck just to dive in the water.
The catapult isn't working, either. Should I type a special command? Thanks!

You have to taxi up to the Catapult, set your chocks, set flaps to take off, set full power, release chocks, that activates catapult.

Gear up and flaps to combat when clear of the boat. Flaps up when you hit a couple hundred feet.

Watch that track I included, it may help.

Folks if you have any questions/comments about my little Panther campaign, please use my "Official" Campaign thread at SimHQ:

Nixer's Campaign Comments and Questions Thread

I have a question about the cockpit, specifically the lights. One yellow light by the clock and two red lights by the Oxygen guages. Anybody have a clue?

Hello guys,

Would it be possible to replace those horrible UK 250lbs bombs by US 100lbs bombs?  US 100lbs were used with the 500lbs on the inside racks, not 250lbs.

Thank you guys, but I've still problems.
I tried to fly the campaign "Forgotten War", and I cannot take off even if I taxy to the catapult, I toggle chocks first on and then off, with the aircraft configured for taking off.
If I try with the Mod carrier Valley Forge, after installing the catapult fix, if I toggle the chocks near the catapult IL2 crashes. My IL2 has UP2.1.
Any idea about that?

So, the Nixer Panther campaign is on the 3BG KTO map???

What is the difference between CY6 and 3BG maps.  Which do people prefer...and why?

3BG_KTO map doesn't work with 1GB_Exe mod... They bring the game to CTD... And it is impossible to play that great compaign with 1GB_Exe switched on...

Any chances that this could be made compatible with cockpit seat V.3?
